dataplex & Citrix Crew Reach for the Sky

dataplex and global software giants Citrix boarded Concorde recently for a joint workshop on desktop virtualisation.

Clients joined the dataplex and Citrix crews at the Concorde Conference Centre in Manchester to explore how new desktop solutions could increase business efficiency.  dataplex is a Citrix Gold Partner and discussion focussed on one of the ICT industry’s most innovative technologies, XenDesktop 4.0

“A lot of people are intrigued by desktop virtualisation and we are trying to help our clients understand just how this new technology can impact on their business.   It can provide impressive results in terms of profit and the working environment.”

Charles Barratt, who was enjoying his first day as dataplex business development and marketing director said:

“We had a terrific day exploring ideas, sharing our expertise and explaining just how we could employ the Citrix technology to maximum effect.   It’s not often that on the same day, you get a seat on the board and get to sit in the cockpit of Concorde.   It was a memorable day.”

For dataplex managing director, Richard Sparrow, it was also a memorable occasion.  He said:


“In 1985, my father piloted the photographer when he took the iconic photograph of Concorde, the QE2 and the Red Arrows.   It was quite an experience for me, a quarter of a century later, to spend the day up close to Concorde."
